How it works
Luminance flood-fill removal
Samples the corner pixels to detect background colour, then removes all connected pixels within the tolerance range β similar to Photoshop's Magic Wand tool, but tuned for white studio shots.
Tolerance controls what's "white"
At 30 only near-pure white is removed. Raise to 60β80 for blown-out, overexposed backgrounds. Lower to 10β15 for fine detail-heavy products.
Feather for smooth edges
Edge feathering blurs the alpha channel on the cutout boundary. Removes jagged pixel edges and makes the product look naturally cut out β essential for eCommerce listings.
Spill removal kills white fringe
White backgrounds "bleed" onto product edges. Spill desaturates and darkens semi-transparent edge pixels so there's no white halo on dark site backgrounds.
Shadow Preserve
Keeps soft grey tones beneath your product. Natural drop shadows make products look grounded on a page β raise this if your photo has a subtle product shadow you want to keep.
Always outputs transparent PNG
PNG is the only lossless format that supports transparency. The file never leaves your browser β everything runs client-side using the Canvas API.
