⚠ What this tool can & can't do
  • No AM/PM guessing. If you don't say "am" or "pm", the tool assumes the hour you give is already in 24-hour context (1–12 → treated literally). "Three" gives 3:00 (early morning), not 3 PM. Add "pm" to be explicit.
  • English only. Spoken patterns are English-language: "quarter past", "half six", "ten to". German "halb sechs" or French "et quart" are not understood.
  • "Half X" = British English. "Half six" means 6:30, following the British convention. In German "halb sechs" means 5:30 — this tool does NOT follow that rule.
  • Minutes range 0–59 only. Input like "seventy past three" is rejected.
  • No relative time. "In an hour", "this afternoon", "tomorrow morning" are not supported.
  • No timezone or DST. Times are plain clock times — no zone conversion happens.
  • Save history requires browser storage. In private/incognito mode, saved entries may not persist across sessions.
  • Phrases with articles work partially. "A quarter past three" ✓, but complex qualifiers like "about twenty past" or "just gone half five" are not guaranteed.
